Titanfall 2 Tech Test: Week 2 Impressions

Last weekend Respawn Entertainment released a weekend Tech Test demo for the rest of August. This weekend is the last time you can enter the public test servers. Most of the features released on the first weekend was still in the second week. There are some new changes for the second Tech Test. A new map for more verity, some minor changes for Amped Hardpoint and Bounty Hunt, and something that all players will enjoy is the Amped happy hour event. These features are not finalized and might change in the full game’s release. These are the changes I hoped for on the second week of the test. Respawn did an excellent job responding (get it? cause their Respawn) to the community. They knew what the community wanted and applied it to the game.                      Titanfall 2’s second tech test weekend had major changes to gameplay, along with new weapons. Increase in movement, Titan meters, and easier sights fr

PS4: The console generation is changing

Sony has been in the console market for 20 years now. Each generation of the PlayStation always had a revision of every console, each iteration of PlayStation had a slim model. On March 18, 2016 Kotaku reported that Sony is working on a PlayStation 4.5, we now know that the code name for it is “NEO”. What makes this different from the slim models? Well the NEO won’t just be the same console in a slimmer case. It will be an upgrade to the existing PS4. This will allow the console market too catch-up to par with the PC audience.                           Sony recently setup an event called The PlayStation Meeting, in New York at 3pm Eastern on September 7. There, they are set to announce two new consoles for this generation, but someone beat them to it. One of the console was leaked on Monday, August 22, 2016. The PlayStation 4 Slim was reported by Eurogamer. Leaked or not, Sony is going to announce two new console that lives alongside one another. Cons

First Impressions On Titianfall 2’s Technical Test

First Impressions On Titianfall 2’s Technical Test Demo                 Respawn’s new game Titianfall 2 is set to release on October 28, 2016. With only 2 more months before the game release, they have put out a technical test demo on the PS4 and Xbox One for the public on the weekend. I got a chance to play about 5 hours of the game. This is my first time with the Titanfall series, so I was curious to see how fast and smooth the Titans felt in multi-player combat. Respawn has the background talent to create a great first-person shooter. Titanfall is a really fast-paced, vary vertical, and engaging futuristic shooter. The technical test ended on Sunday, but will be open to the public again on August 26-28.                 Titanfall 2’s technical test had limited option on your load out, maps, modes, and titans.   The amount they showed was enough for me to get a feel of the game and how the gameplay was. I spent, and have found myself liking more of the Bou

Upcoming Games

Upcoming Games I’m most Excited for                 2016, so far has been an amazing year for video games. Games that released in 2016 ranged from small indie to AAA massive games that a lot of gamers adored. This year we had a huge change with the release the Oculus Rift, and the HTC Vive Virtual Reality (VR) headsets. Players and developers have a new way to play games. On development side it’s a lot more challenging. Developers have to change and learn new ways to implement their ideas to work with VR. 2016 has been a big step for the gaming industry with VR and announcements of new consoles, but the year isn’t over. There are still a lot more to come before the end of 2016.             There are many games releasing before the end of year. The games that has my attention are Titanfall 2, Dishonored 2, and The Last Guardian. These titles are sequels, except The Last Guardian, I want to see what new ideas the developers come up with and how they would integrate the new

Game Delays

Game Delays: How It Affects Players   When gamers wait for a release date for a game they’re excited for, they expect the game to be released on that date. A lot of gamers get impatient if they don’t get what they want. The only way to vent those feeling is to write a letter to the developers and in some cases contacting the reporter. No Man’s Sky is the perfect example. When It was delayed another two months, players were outraged. Sean Murray was harassed by fans of his game, sending death threats for delaying the game. One Reporter from Kotaku was also harassed by fans of the game. He got threats about how he’s lying about the report, and how he ruined another player’s life. Things get a little out of hand when gamers don’t get what they’re promised. What gamers don’t realize is games take a while to be develop. Bugs, glitches, and  frame-rate  needs to be fixed. Ask yourself this,” What if the game wasn’t delayed?”, will it be broken, dropping frames, or maybe your clip

Pokémon Uranium: A Fan Made Project

Pokémon Uranium: A Fan Made Project                 The Pokémon series are beloved by many around the world. Being a movie, game, and card game, Pokémon is a media juggernaut. Who would have   thought we would be playing the same game for 20 years? It was released in 1996. This year is the 20 th anniversary of the release of the original game, Pokémon “Red” and “Blue”. Now the new generation of Pokémon have arrived. On February 26, 2016, Nintendo officially announced the 7th Pokémon series “Sun” and “Moon” (Hawaii-themed, Alola Region) will be released on November 18, 2016 worldwide for the 3DS. A long living franchise like Pokémon gives gamers time to think about all the games that came before. How can it change to feel more fresh and new? Nintendo does change things from new iteration, but keeps the same core gameplay. That’s where JV and Involuntary from twitch comes in. JV and Involuntary are the lead designers in their unofficial fan-made Pokémon game. Pokémon Uran

GameOn: First Impression of No Man’s Sky

GameOn: First Impression of No Man’s Sky                 No Man’s Sky is finally here. All the controversy leading up to launch is over. Everyone who sent death threats to Sean Murray for delaying the game, who thought that 30 hours of gameplay wasn’t worth the money, or who thought the game was small with only 6 GB on the download. It’s now out and all of that is over. A lot of people ask” what is No Man’s Sky”? It is a survival-exploration game. No Man’s Sky was developed by 15 people. Being such a small studio with a massive game can sound discouraging, but Hello Games did a great job capturing the feel and atmosphere of the game. This game has so much to offer, and I in tend to do as much as I can in the universe of No Man’s Sky. The first thing you notice when entering No Man’s Sky is how colourful, and large the world is. I started out alone in a random planet without food, water, and resources. The first goal was to fix the ship with a mining laser (multi-too

The Hype Around No Man’s Sky

The Hype Around No Man’s Sky             No Man’s Sky was developed by Hello Games. Hello Games is a British indie game studio, founded by Sean Murray and Grant Duncan in 2008. No Man’s Sky was under development for five years and was first announced at VGX (Spike Video Game Awards). At E3 (2015) Sean Murray came on stage with the first five-minute gameplay video. In the month of March 2016, the game was announced to be release on June 21, 2016, but was later announced that the game was delayed until August 9, 2016. On June 17, 2016 Sean Murray stated that No Man’s Sky can now legally have the word “sky” in the name, with three years of legal action. Sean Murray and Hello Games have their work cut out, being one of the most anticipated games of 2016. My first exposure with No Man’s Sky was at E3 (2015). My first thought was, “yes this is the game I must play, no matter what.” Now that No Man’s Sky’s Release i
