Destiny’s 2 Beta Feels More Like Destiny, but Presented in more Dynamic Light

The initial release of Destiny was a disaster. Not only did the game release uncomplete, the development was troubled for a long time. Thankfully, there was some fun to had in vanilla Destiny and that was the shooting. Although grinding can be repetitive, it’s fun explore the areas and popping alien heads. With a strong community Destiny lived and immensely improved after the first year with the release of the Taken King. Destiny 2 was delayed from last year and instead released the last DLC for Destiny – Rise of Iron. Now, we’re two months from Destiny 2 console launch and three for PC users. Console pre-order purchasers has access to the beta right now. Right off the bat you get an opening cutscene – seeing The Tower and The Last City being up in flames makes you feel the connection with the world that I was never engrossed in. There you get ported to the tower – the flames and destruction creates desperation for the NPC’s. Early in the strike, you see the three...

My First Impressions on Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

When I saw that Square Enix was re-releasing Final Fantasy XII it took be back to 2005-2006. As a kid, I wasn’t invested into games, but I’ve many family members that were. Watching them made my interest level rise. One was Final Fantasy XII on the PS2. I knew what a Final Fantasy entails, a group of heroes trying to save to world from destruction with in-depth turn-based combat. In Final Fantasy XII Square Enix moved away from those properties and implemented a new battle system with a world devastated by war. Back then the only thing that wowed me was the beautiful, massive world of Ivalice . Now that I’m older and can understand systems, I can experience Final Fantasy XII in a new and improved way. First thing I noticed when booting up the game was the music. Hitoshi Sakimoto and Hayato Matsuo were the original composers. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age allows you to play the original soundtrack or change it to orchestrated version. I wish more remasters would get ...

Final Fantasy 14’s Beautiful and Interesting Landscapes

Final Fantasy as a series – has always had incredible graphics from character models to vistas and landscapes. This day in age graphics aren’t as important as they use to be, but boy there have been some amazing sights only videogames can create . Final Fantasy 14 might not be the best looking Final Fantasy , but it is the best looking MMO. I’ve been playing for two weeks now and over that time I got time to explore FF14 ’s latest expansion Stormblood. I’m going to show pictures of all the landscapes and vistas I loved, while giving some lore bits with some photos. Baelsar’s Wall Here we see Baelsar’s Wall. A wall built under the late conqueror Gaius van Baelsar dividing Eorzea and Ala Mhigo. The wall was built to keep primals (summons) out of Ala Mhigo and other Garlean territories. Eorzea has primals because aether cyrstals are more prominent, and for four years we’ve been fighting them to save Eorzea. Now, we head to the east to liberate Ala Mhigo and Doma.  S...

The most intriguing aspect of the game is that it can only be played in split-screen online or local Co-op, making the playstyle more communitive. During the gameplay trailer it made it feel like there were many and different ways to accomplished a goal. Exploration plays a deep role in what you can do. Causing a fight can distract a guard making it free to do something else. EA Originals program is amazing for independent developers. To ge...

What I want to see at E3 2017

It’s that time of year once again, the time where gamers geek out with the recent news, trailers, and games that came out of E3. Last year’s E3 was the first time I actively followed it. That led me into writing about video games, and I’m loving it. During that E3 there were many surprises, but also predictable moments. I’m hoping to get surprised by a nice or interesting looking game that has been shown yet. Following last E3, most of my anticipated games were shown last year. God of War I’ve never played any game in its series. The hack and slack with stylist-action never caught my attention. What did was the world, characters, and the mythology. I’ve always been fond of mythology from all parts of the world, especially Greek mythology. At last year’s E3, Sony showed off the rebooted God of War, developed and directed by Sony Santa Monica Studio’s Cory Barlog. This time they left the stylist-action out and added a slower, and more methodical combat system. A Dark Souls-lik...
