Destiny’s 2 Beta Feels More Like Destiny, but Presented in more Dynamic Light

The initial release of Destiny was a disaster. Not only did the game release uncomplete, the development was troubled for a long time. Thankfully, there was some fun to had in vanilla Destiny and that was the shooting. Although grinding can be repetitive, it’s fun explore the areas and popping alien heads. With a strong community Destiny lived and immensely improved after the first year with the release of the Taken King.

Destiny 2 was delayed from last year and instead released the last DLC for Destiny – Rise of Iron. Now, we’re two months from Destiny 2 console launch and three for PC users. Console pre-order purchasers has access to the beta right now.

Right off the bat you get an opening cutscene – seeing The Tower and The Last City being up in flames makes you feel the connection with the world that I was never engrossed in. There you get ported to the tower – the flames and destruction creates desperation for the NPC’s. Early in the strike, you see the three commanders and other NPCs in a room seeking shelter. Already Destiny 2 made me care about the characters and the world more so than the first game.

Throughout the strike (Homecoming) you’ll see the three commanders out in the world fighting beside you, which was never presented in the world. They finally feel like they’re characters living in this world, not just figures that gives out quest.

Dominus Ghaul

It’s not just the heroes, but the villains are interesting also. The Red Legion, an aggressive, agile force that is led by Dominus Ghaul. He thinks that earth didn’t deserve the power of the light, and that the Red Legion should’ve been bestowed with that power. He’s come to earth to claim the light.

After the opening mission, there you have an option to play one strike called, “The Inverted Spire”, or two multiplayer modes. I’ve only tried the strike and its more of same from Homecoming. The noticeable difference from the two strikes is the bright and colorful environment in The Inverted Spire strike, this is the first time we get to set foot in a new zone. The boss in the second strike is much better than the first, because of the dynamic of the arena. In the strike, the floors dissipate and a new arena is formed.

Destiny 2’s beta doesn’t present the full picture of the game, but does allow us to get a feel for it before the game releases on September 6th for console and October 24th for PC. Not much has changed in-terms of gameplay, but you’ll enjoy the presentation that wasn’t there much in the first game.

Destiny’s community is already sold on a sequel, not much has changed. For the players that fell off from vanilla Destiny, Destiny 2 has everything players were wanting and that’s an interactive story.

Fortnite: Battle Royale: Season 4 Just Made Some Crazy Changes and I in Love with it

Fortnite has become this huge juggernaut in the gaming industry ever since Epic released their Battle Royale mode in late September. The Battle Pass implementation gave the player a progression system that gamify the Battle Royale mode, of which PUBG does not have. Having something to accomplish in-between gathering and fighting during each match creates a sense of accomplishment. In a game where there is a 100-player free-for-all fight, your chances of winning are low, allowing the Battle Pass rewards gives the player this satisfaction of accomplishment even if you lose. Over the past month, Epic has been teasing and creating ARGs in-game for the lead up to Season 4. Hearing about the meteors crashing down on Tilted Towers was cool but I didn’t think anything of it, as I thought it to be a cosmetic choice. But after seeing the video where Titled Towers got hit with small meteors during a match made me believe that the rumored Superhero themed Season Pass might be true. Long a
