Assassin’s Creed Origins Adding a Sandbox Modifier for Uplay Players

This month Ubisoft are adding an in-game feature that can change the way you, and your enemies play. Ubisoft calls it the “Animus Control Panel”. For Players that have the PC version of the game, you will soon be able to change some of the rules of the game. Though it is only available on the Uplay Launcher, there are some neat things that can be changed.

They have Screenshots and examples of having multiple animal companions and sliders that changes how we behave, but also how the NPC behaves. There are few options presented and the post doesn’t have much information, however they did list off things we can expect with:

  •          75 parameters within 11 categories
  •         Three pre-created presets
  •          Presets created by players can be shared
  •         The Animus Control Panel is embedded in the Uplay Overlay

This seem amazing for players loving the game and would want to try something new with the sandbox. And having the feature to share the Presets shows how much Ubisoft is dedicated to post-release content. If Far Cry 5’s Arcade Mode is any indication of how far Ubisoft would go with their silly, but robust sandbox modifiers I am optimistic for the Animus Control Panel.

Mario Tennis Aces “Swing Mode” is Really Disappointing

Mario Tennis Aces is the latest entry to the Mario Tennis series. This time around Nintendo did no wrong with their tennis series giving us an adventure mode where you move from level to level to complete a series of challenges, a fun online/offline tournament, and exciting local play. I haven’t played the Mario Tennis series since the GameCube days, but I’m having as much fun as I did back then, expect for one mode that made me hate motion controls. During the lead up to launch I had questions about full motion controls, if they would support it for full matches? Can it be an alternative? and will it be like Wii Sports or will it have depth will in the base game? These questions were answered just a couple of days before launch and I was disappointed in how Nintendo implemented the motion controls. Coming from the developers of Wii Sports and how well the motion controls worked with the tennis mini-game gave me hope that Nintendo could do something great with motion ...

Diving Deep into The Series of Kingdom Hearts – Kingdom Hearts I

About a week ago I decided to dive into one of my favorite series growing-up, Kingdom Hearts . Square released, the HD remaster version on PS4 and the new 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue also on PS4, this focuses on continuing the story and will lead into the third game. If you didn’t know, the HD remaster provides you with six Kingdom Hearts games.           Kingdom Hearts I           Chain of Memories         358/2 Days          Kingdom Hearts II          Birth by Sleep           Re:coded This collection of games is essential to the overall narrative of the game, even though it’s a convoluted mess. I’m using a guide that shows me which games are in chronological order to get the full understanding of the Kingdom Hearts world and who Sora is as a character. Thanks for RPG Grind Time – a column at Gameinformer...

My Game of the Year (2017) – Destiny 2 #3

There was a lot of excitement for the Bungie ’s second go around with Destiny 2 . There was a lot of controversy over what was changed and what didn’t return from the first Destiny .  At first the changes were for the better, it allowed new players to finally wrap their head around the system that was difficult to process in original Destiny.   Rising reputation with an NPC is one change that was assessable newcomers. In Destiny 1 it always felt like a chore, because of the bounty system. This system made it a more difficult task due to the action associated with the bounty – this can range from headshots with a sniper in PvP to complete 3 strikes. With Destiny 2 , the reputation is more streamline with turn-in tokens. Earning these tokens are common and I great resource of gear/weapons when you’re first starting out. These tokens are associated with each planet. Its great Bungie is listening to the players and in doing so, made an assessable loot shooter for the ca...
