Bungie Officially Announced a Destiny Sequel

Last week Kotaku reported a leaked image of a possible Destiny sequel – the leaked image came from an Italian retailer. The report noted that there will be an upcoming beta (PS4 first) and a release date of September 8, 2017, three years after the original launch. Yesterday, Bungie’s Twitter account revealed a logo for Destiny 2 However, Bungie and Activision have yet to confirm the details about the beta and release date, but says it is on track to release this fall. Destiny 2 was rumored to be released on PC as well as PS4 and Xbox One. There are still no confirmation about the PC version.

Bungie has been updating and adding DLC throughout Destiny’s life cycle. There has been four major DLCs added and a couple of major free updates. First DLC being: The Dark Below in 2014, House of Wolves in 2015 (May), The Taken King in 2015 (September), and Rise of Iron in 2016. Recently, Bungie announced they will be releasing a last piece of free update for Destiny called, Age of Triumph.

Age of Triumph changes multiple aspect of the game: A Revamped Classic Raids and Weekly Raid Playlist – with new weapons and armor, Weekly Story Playlist changes – are now themed based, Nightfall and Strike changes – new mode called Daybreak Strikes which combines Epic and mayhem modifiers, new quests exclusive to Age of Triumph, and a New Record Book. There are many other changes in this update before the release of Destiny 2. Look forward for the Age of Triumph update releasing March 28, which is today.

Destiny has built an amazing community that stuck through its worst and greatest time. The excitement of Destiny 2 brings past, present, and new players to the game once again. A fresh new take on Destiny allows many other players to have a brand-new start with the franchise – hopefully new players from the PC (if released) side will have some ground.

UPDATE: Bungie just released a 1 minute teaser trailer for Destiny 2. The full worldwide reveal trailer will air on Thursday March 30th. The trailer starts off with an Exo named, Cayde-6. Cayde-6 tells a humorous story about the firefights he has had.

Fortnite: Battle Royale: Season 4 Just Made Some Crazy Changes and I in Love with it

Fortnite has become this huge juggernaut in the gaming industry ever since Epic released their Battle Royale mode in late September. The Battle Pass implementation gave the player a progression system that gamify the Battle Royale mode, of which PUBG does not have. Having something to accomplish in-between gathering and fighting during each match creates a sense of accomplishment. In a game where there is a 100-player free-for-all fight, your chances of winning are low, allowing the Battle Pass rewards gives the player this satisfaction of accomplishment even if you lose. Over the past month, Epic has been teasing and creating ARGs in-game for the lead up to Season 4. Hearing about the meteors crashing down on Tilted Towers was cool but I didn’t think anything of it, as I thought it to be a cosmetic choice. But after seeing the video where Titled Towers got hit with small meteors during a match made me believe that the rumored Superhero themed Season Pass might be true. Long a
